Martin Luther King Jr.
Martin Luther King Jr. is a hero of mine. We celebrate his legacy on Monday. As a country, we continue to struggle to achieve his dream, the dream of millions of individuals and many communities in the global family.
The struggle is hard, especially when leaders of the world express disdain and racism, arrogance and disrespect, ignorance and fear. We have a job to do, and it is draining and exhausting work. We must take care of ourselves and our brothers and sisters as we transform individuals, organizations, communities and our society.
Recharge every day by being in the present and knowing that we are all connected to each other.
Be inspired by the words of Martin Luther King Jr
“He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as
he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without
protesting against it is really cooperating with it.”
Please join SWAN in supporting women, especially women of color, to continue to be catalysts that kindle the coming tipping point to inclusive, healed, present and welcoming communities across the globe. Together we can create the possible society that can transform humankind.
